Chapter 1 part A

I have quite a big family. I have six siblings -three step siblings, two full biological siblings and one half sister. I also have two nieces! I feel like I'm closer to my little siblings than my older siblings. My little sister is my best friend! My older sister has taught me how I want to act when I'm a fully indepepdent adult. I haven't seen my extended family in a little bit though. I think the last time that they had an event planned I was at school so I didn't get to attend. I celebrated Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and birthdays with my family. It depends on when we're all free on when we celebrate each holiday as a whole famly, but it's usually during the month that the holiday falls on. For example, we celebrate Christmas sometime in December. We find these holidays important because of our Christian values. Christmas is said to be Jesus Christ's brithday and Easter is the day Christ was raised from the dead. We think that Thanksgiving is important because we find it important to be thankful for everything that we have. At these holiday events we usually eat dinner, sometimes open presents and just spend a lot of time talking and catching up with each. I enjoy going to these events because I get to spend good quality time with my family. My dad's 43 years old, and my stepmom's 46 years old. My dad has a very silly and fun personality, but he's very hardworking as well and my stepmom has a calm personality but she loves to join in and have fun with all of us kids from time to time. My oldest sister is Natasha and she's 27 years old. Natasha has a very addictive personality. She gets drawn into different hobbies or aesthetics and will be "addicted" to that thing for a while before she grows bored of it. My second older sibling is my brother Garion. He's as stubborn as the day is long but jokes around a lot as well. Next is my sister, Sara. Sara's best fun fact is that she's deaf, but she's much more than that. She is funny, playful and hard working. Next is my sister Kellie and she's very independent. She does what she wants and what she sees best in her situation. She is also the mother of my nieces, Paisley (2 years old) and Blakeleigh (not yet a year old). They're the sweetest little girls! I come next in line. I think I have a fun personality and that I work very hard for what I want. Next is my little siter Tiara. She is the craziest girl I've ever met! I love spending time with her and talking with her. She's the most understanding and caring person I've ever met. Lastly, is my little brother Joey. He loves sports and shares the funniest videos online. My family does have a lot of pets. We have a lot of cats and dogs. But, my dog's name is Tubs and he is absolutely my baby! I miss him so much while I'm at school.

So, I have a very blended family and I thought that the best way to show this would be through two different trees. This tree starts with my paternal grand-pére, Merl Farmer and my grand-mére, Darlene. Merl as 68 ans e Darlene décédé. Merl and Darlene had cinq enfants: Vanessa, Jeremiah, Jackie, Felicia and CLyde. Vanessa, mon taunt, as 45 ans. Jeremiah, mon pére, as 43 ans. Jackie, mon taunt, as 38 ans. Felicia, mon taunt,décédé. Clyde, mon oncle, as 35 ans. Mon oncle, Nathan e mon mére, Adriane décédé aussi. But, my dad Jeremiah and my mom Adriane had quatre enfants: Natasha, Sara, Tori (me) and Joey. Natasha, mon soeur, as 28 ans. Chapter Préliminaire (part B)

         Bonjour! That's how you would say hello to someone else in French. Another, less formal, way to say hello is to say "Salut!" When you're saying hello to a friend, you can kiss their cheeks, this is called la bise. This would be similar to a hug when greeting your friend in American culture. A more formal greeting would be a handshake, but this is usually reserved for bosses or someone along those lines. The words "tu" and "vous" both mean you, but "vous" is the formal version among the two. So, you would greet your boss with  handshake while saying to them, "Bonjour! Comment allez-vous?" which means "Hello! How are you?" greeting your boss greeting a friend     It surprised me that  French children are enrolled in school at a very young age and how strict their school system seems.
