Chapter 2 B

In french cultures, the title of friendship has to be earned. Friends need to be very trustworthy people who have proven not to be hurtful or rude to you. To Americans, French people may seem cold or stuck up when first meeting because they're not extrememly friendly from the beginning. I would agree with the French to a point. I like my friends to be trustworthy and kind. I do wait a little bit to actually call them my friends. But, I like to be warm and inviting when I meet new people. New people are opportunities for new friends and I don't want to scare them away! French people love sports! They spend a lot of time playing or watching different sports. Americans do this as well of course, with our biggest example being football. I, myself, am not a big sports fan -espicially with football. French people also love going to little cafes and getting coffee with their friends. I love doing this too! It may easily be my favorite thing to do, espcially while I'm at school!
Comparing my hometown to the one pictured in our textbook, most of the things are the same. We have la puscine municipale (public pool), la bibliotheque (library), la restaurante (restaurant), et la mairie. My hometown's too small to have things like le cinéma (movie theater), le musée (museum), et le monument (monument/statues).
